GETTING TO THE ISLAND:
The only way to get to Governor's Island is by boat. For this event, there wll be ferries from Manhattan at the Battery Maritime Building (next door to the Staten Island Ferry terminal) and from Brooklyn at Fulton Ferry Landing (next to the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, near Grimaldi's, between DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights). Ferries will be running until midnight to Manhattan on weekends.

NOTE : The map below does not show a route between Fulton Ferry and Governors Island, but there is one! see the ferry link for directions to the Brooklyn terminal, and note that this ferry runs until 7 PM ONLY.

GETTING TO SPINNER RUNNER CUTTER @ FIGMENT'S CITY OF DREAMS
Figment's City of Dreams scultpure garden and mini golf course is south of Liggett Hall, and just on the other side of the massive building from the heart of the Dutch Island Festival. It is not a long walk from either ferry, but be ready to walk a bit! We recommend bikes! see the Gov Island site for info on bike rentals..and see the map below. WHAT TO BRING:
There is some food and drink (incling beer and coffee) available for sale from the Dutch visitors at the New Island Festival, who are next to Figment. You have to stay in their area with drinks. We recommend bringing a picninc lunch with you, and bringing drinking water. Excpect a very quick bag check getting onto the ferries (no body search). There are also a few food carts around the island.
Come prepared for weather changes! and remember, aside from the few food stands there are no stores at all on the island, so take anything with you that you need.
